Tesco Halloween 2010

tesco halloween It may seem as if I’m just writing posts about every supermarket at the moment, commenting on it halloween stuff and that Tesco’s is just next on the list.
It may also seem that I just love everything that the shops are selling, just because I love Halloween so darn much.

But oh man was I let down by the Tesco Halloween stock this year. tescos halloweenSeriously, it’s like they don’t even know that Halloween is coming. Talk about miss out on a good excuse to market a load of cool stuff (and celebrate a cool time of year in the process).

I had already been impressed by how much of an effort than our local Co-Op had made, so thought it was a good idea to go accross the road and check out Tesco too.
After finally finding the tiny Halloween area – just one measly set of shelves. I wished that I hadn’t bothered to make the journey.
There were a bunch of sweets, some of which looked decent. A huge tub of Halloween Haribo caught my eye. But beyond that there was just a few pathetic masks and other small bits of cheap decoration that didn’t even really seem worth looking at.

I wouldn’t mind so much but there was about three times as much halloween stuff in Tesco last year. What happened?!

This wasn’t a Tesco Metro either. Our local Tesco isn’t the biggest, but it has enough space to stock pretty much everything else (including Christmas stuff – ALREADY!).

Poor show Tesco. Try harder next year.

just found your website, love it! I agree about Tesco, although there is a huge one near me and they always seem to have quite a bit. Have you tried TK Maxx? their Halloween stuff is on clearance already and some of it is amazing!

I think that you need to be near a Tesco megastore to get the real benefit of their Halloween stuff.
Haven’t checked out TK Maxx, but if their stuff is already on clearance, I’ll definitely have to pay them a visit.
    Is it mainly costumes?
