A few years ago I got very excited about some LEGO Monsters Minifigures that I had found thanks to a heads up from a LEGO loving friend.
It was impossible to resist the cute little guys, the only problem being that not all packs contained a monster. Some were other LEGO figures, in outfits that weren’t even nearly as cool.
But after years of waiting and wondering if the people at LEGO would ever release a more extensive collection of ghosts and gouls, I was sent the information that this year, series 14 of the minifigures would be made up entirely of monsters!

And it’s the best timing ever. I’m still reeling after having missed the LEGO Ghostbusters Ecto 1 on sale for bargain prices in various places. Sadly, I’m at that time in my life where I just can’t justify £45 for LEGO. Even if I do claim that it’s for ‘the kids’. These minifigures on the other hand, will be very affordable, probably coming in at £2.50 a pack.
Nearly all of the monster greats are represented in this new collection (there’s no mummy, but then we have seen plenty of those in recent times with previous minifigures and the Monster Fighters sets).
Without further talk. Take a look at the gallery to see just how great they are.

If I had to pick a favourite, it would have to be the skeleton guy because I love his pumpkin trick or treat bucket!
I don’t have any firm dates on when these figures will be in stores, but it’ll be soon and they’re bound to sell fast.
They’ll make great Halloween collectibles and you could even use them to create a LEGO centrepiece at your party.
Or you could incorporate them into your decorations somehow. If you come up with any ingenious ways to use them, please share them with us here.
