Halloween arts and crafts

yellow moon halloween Every year I get nice Halloween surpises. This year I’ve had lots, and one such surprise was getting an unsolicited catalogue through the post from a company called Yellow Moon.
Yep, I didn’t ask for it, but I got a catalogue anyway, but rather than be angry and throw it away, I was delighted to see Halloween stuff. LOTS of Halloween stuff!

Top 5 Asda Halloween products for 2010

Although we do love their halloween products, we don’t want to make our site too Asda focussed – even though we have probably already done that!

Halloween sales in U.K overtake Valentine’s Day

According to this recent article in the Daily Mail research by Tesco’s has found Halloween has overtaken Valentine’s Day, Bonfire Night and Mothers Day in terms of British High Street sales.

Sales of sweets, themed foods, such as pumpkins, decorations and devilish costumes have provided a bonanza for supermarkets and other stores as we all spend, spend, spend on Halloween themed goodies.

Carolyn Bradley, Tesco’s UK marketing director, said: ‘Halloween has become one of the main seasonal events during the last ten years, with sales almost trebling since 2005.

I guess that just goes to show that Halloween is one of the most popular holiday’s in the British calendar. All we need now is for someone to make it a bank holiday!

Build-a-bear at Halloween

frankenstein bear It might seem strange to some of you that people exchange gifts at this frightful time of year (Halloween) but it seems to be a growing phenomenon.
Since my first child was born, her auntie has bought her a Halloween themed toy EVERY Halloween, and it’s all thanks to Build-A-Bear.
