Ghost stories is playing now at London’s Duke of York theatre and it’s pretty impressive…
Ghost Stories, written by Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman, is the closest experience to a living horror film you will get.

Wow, I have had such a busy weekend that I didn’t get to post yesterday. Pretty criminal considering how close we are to All Hallows Eve.
As a result, I’m going to try to get a couple up today (at least).
As the Bram Stoker Film festival draws near, I thought it fitting that I write about one of his stories.

Charles Dickens?!

Yep, the guy who usually wrote about street urchins and the working classes! Apparently he also wrote the odd ghost story. And they aren’t bad either!

Yet another oldie. This time from one of the all time greats – M. R. James
Again, a spooky one from my childhood. I remember that they used to show ghost stories on Christmas Eve for some reason, and this was one of them. I’d recommend watching that too if you can track it down on DVD.

I just had an idea. Why not also add links to my favourite ghost stories too?!
That way, if anyone wants some really good stories to read on Halloween, they can find them here…
So, here goes.
First off, I wanted to add one of my all time favourites. My Dad introduced me to this one, and to this day, I still like it. An oldie, but a goodie.
