So you’re probably wondering if there’s going to be anything good on TV at Halloween this year? Perhaps you trust the networks enough to provide you with suitable entertainment, or perhaps you’re too tight to go out and buy/rent a horror movie… It’s okay, I understand.
Well, I can help you out a bit here as I have a brief overview of what will be on terrestrial/freeview/satellite TV this Halloween.

Yes, you read it right, we, Halloweenerrific are unofficially the best halloween site on the internet.
After our recent news article about how Hobgoblin beer was the unofficial beer for Halloween, we had a short meeting and decided that we were definitely justified in saying that unofficially we really are the best halloween site on the web, based on little else but our own opinions, visitor feedback and stats.
Yes, we really don’t know many (if any people) who care more about Halloween. Both in the UK and globally. Our love for the occasion and our devotion to informing the world of the things that we find (through Halloweenerrific) has at times caused confusion and even concern from our loved ones.
But judging by our site stats so far this year, this is going to be the best halloween for our site so far and hopefully we’ll help it to be your best Halloween too.
It’s a bit early for thank yous, but we also wanted to say thanks to all of the people who have taken the time to pay us a visit and especially those of you who leave comments. You guys make it all worth while.

According to this recent article in the Daily Mail research by Tesco’s has found Halloween has overtaken Valentine’s Day, Bonfire Night and Mothers Day in terms of British High Street sales.
Sales of sweets, themed foods, such as pumpkins, decorations and devilish costumes have provided a bonanza for supermarkets and other stores as we all spend, spend, spend on Halloween themed goodies.
Carolyn Bradley, Tesco’s UK marketing director, said: ‘Halloween has become one of the main seasonal events during the last ten years, with sales almost trebling since 2005.
I guess that just goes to show that Halloween is one of the most popular holiday’s in the British calendar. All we need now is for someone to make it a bank holiday!

One of my personal all-time favourite ghost/horror stories is being re-made – which is pretty damn cool. Still a massive fan of the original 1989 version, it’s going to be great to see what can be done to it. Although we’ll probably have to wait until Halloween 2011 to be able to see it!
