So you’re probably wondering if there’s going to be anything good on TV at Halloween this year? Perhaps you trust the networks enough to provide you with suitable entertainment, or perhaps you’re too tight to go out and buy/rent a horror movie… It’s okay, I understand.
Well, I can help you out a bit here as I have a brief overview of what will be on terrestrial/freeview/satellite TV this Halloween.

If you are anywhere near Bristol this Halloween why not head to Tyntesfield for there Pumpkin Weekend and spooky celebrations.
Located in Wraxall, Somerset the Victorian House and gardens will be holding their annual display of pumpkins and squashes, between the 23rd to the 24th of October 11am to 4pm. Children can enjoy a garden trail and pumpkin craft activities in the Sawmill and adults can enjoy the beautiful National Trust building and surrounding woodlands.
Halloween itself Tyntesfield is the last open day of the season and visitors can enjoy a day unlike any other! Try not to get spooked with the strange goings on, take part in our Halloween fancy dress competition and get creative with festive crafts in the Sawmill. Wear your most horrid and ghoulish outfit and enter their competition and you may win a prize!

If you’re an art lover and a Halloween lover why not head for The Old Vic Tunnels for Hell’s Half Acre a free exhibition by a mass of modern artists all inspired by Dante’s Inferno.

The labyrinth of tunnels beneath Waterloo station will be converted into a large-scale evocation of the Devils realm and visitors will explore a unique dark and disturbing, chalenging and beutiful, interpretation of the nine circles of hell through the vision of artists including: Conor Harrington, Vhils, George Osodi, Antony Micallef, Doug Foster, Todd James, Paul Insect, Mark Jenkins, Boogie, Ian Francis, Polly Morgan, Jonathan Yeo, Zak Ové and many more …
Hell’s Half Acre will be open for viewing from 12th to 17th October, 6pm till 11pm Tuesday to Thursday, with extended hours over the weekend. Interaction with the works will be encouraged as part of this multi-sensory experience and although the exhibition is free booking ahead is advised.

Throughout the October Half Term school holidays, there will be special tours of Exeter’s famous medieval Underground Passages with an emphasis on magic and mystery and the untold and terrifying tales that the tunnels have witnessed during the years.

There are tons of events going on at the Eden project in Cornwall this Halloween, so many in fact they have renamed the place Halloweden!
From Saturday the 23rd to all Hallows Eve itself the ice rink returns for October half term except this time with a spooky feel. There will be a Wishcraft tent open each day over half term where you can concoct your own potion, meet owls from nearby Screech Owl Sanctuary and listen to some scary stories!
Skate and Scare on the 28th and 29th of October 6pm to 9pm join Eden’s Fear Scientists and awaken the spirits of the rainforest as you explore the tropics in complete darkness. This truly terrifying trip for thrill-seeking fans of fear is not suitable for the under 12s or the faint hearted! Tickets which are £10 per person include a skate on our spooky rink.
Finally they are holding a Little Monsters Ball on the 30th and 31st October, 6pm to 9pm, £7 per person. Get your fancy dress on for a spooky evening of fang-tastic fun for all the family. There’ll be plenty of spooky activities, tasty treats in our cafes and a good bone-shaking disco in our Olive Grooveyard. Pay a visit to our Wand Tailor, who’ll size you up for a wand of your own, and meet some real creatures of the night. Our haunted Biomes will be open for you to explore, but beware, who knows what might lurk inside…..
